Local Boy, Filmmaker and Entrepreneur Bob Madsen RHA hand picked by Mitt Romney to chair the Executive Housing Committee for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.

 Filmmaker, Musician and entrepreneur, Bob Madsen of Fairfield California and now resident of Alpine Utah, has been hand picked by Mit Romney to oversee and manage the lodging and housing needs of more 500,000 visitors and athletes anticipated to attend the 2002 Winter Olympics.
 Madsen has also been involved as a "Convention Industry Consultant", sitting on various committees including; MGM Mirage Resorts and Mandalay Resort Group and Marriott Hotels, which together own nearly half of the hotel rooms in Las Vegas. "Heading up the Olympic Housing Committee is not a job that I applied for, but was a job that sough me out" Madsen says, "I am honored and flattered to be asked by the Olympic Committee to assist in making the 2002 Winter Olympics a great success for all the world to see and enjoy" stated Madsen. Mitt Romney stated that "although his salary exceeds $2,000,000 for his work, Madsen has a worldwide reputation and proven history of success's in Managing epic events and conventions". Romney further states "Madsen's track record of Managing the largest and most successful conventions in Boston for the past 7 years is second to none", Romney states, his track record and abilities ensure a successful Olympic Games, and I am completely confident in his abilities".

 Although Bob Madsen is well known and respected as a hotel industry entrepreneur and consultant, he is possibly more well known as a filmmaker, movie producer and musician. Bob Madsen, President of Norway Films, has produced and funded several successful feature, documentary films and television programs over the years and considers filmmaking his true calling in life. However, Madsen considers his family to be his "greatest gift and joy". "Spending quality time with my kids is what I live for and they are my truest passion…..as well as my his wife of course!"

 Madsen states "my goal is to ensure that the Games are a success for all, so that the world will view the Olympic Games as a great success and a great healer in this time of turmoil and grief, bringing the world closer together and uniting the world for common good".
